Currenty, I’m the web designer at nGenera. I help maintain and update two high-traffic websites and provide extensive graphic design support for both web and print.
Previously, I worked for 8 years as part of the Online Development Center, a small group of developers and 1 designer (me) that operates within the Puget Sound Educational Service District.
I strive to balance aesthetic appeal with standard compliant design and accessibility. My primary focus is web design and front-end development but I have a strong background in print design and production as well as copy writing and editing.
I do my best to stay on top of the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in web design.
My primary tools include Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver (hand-coded XHTML and CSS).
In addition, I'm well versed in JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery and Mootools and use Flash for animation, basic action scripting and video deployment.
Other software programs I use include InDesign, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint Designer and Acrobat Pro.
I work closely with developers and am very comfortable working in highly programmed environments such as PHP, classic ASP and ASP.NET
